Painted Pony believes in supporting our communities at both a local, grassroots level as well as on an international scale. This involves partnering with organizations that can help us accomplish this goal. Painted Pony supports educational, social and humanitarian causes through both sponsorship opportunities and direct contributions.
Painted Pony is a proud ongoing sponsor of HOPEthiopia, which is dedicated to restoration of both the people and the land of Ethiopia through sustainable community, agriculture and reforestation projects. In memory of Kelly Drader, a valued former Director of Painted Pony, the Company has partnered with HOPEthiopia to sponsor the construction of a school in Ethiopia.
In 2017, Painted Pony is once again proud to sponsor the HOPEthiopia charity calendar featuring the art of local artist Paul Van Ginkel, with all donation proceeds going directly to HOPEthiopia. Together we have raised over $130,000 towards this very important cause. For information on obtaining a calendar please contact email@example.com.
Painted Pony’s corporate matching program has continuously demonstrated the generosity of our employees year after year. Since 2010 the Company has sponsored 4-5 “Christmas Families” per year during the holiday season. Employees are able to donate gifts or cash that are matched 100% by the Company and gifted to the families in the form of gift certificates for groceries, presents for kids and other Christmas necessities.
Painted Pony believes in being actively engaged in communities where we work and live. In Fort St. John, British Columbia, we are involved with local communities including the First Nations, local landowners and various stakeholder groups.
In October 2014, the Company was pleased to sponsor the annual Fort St. John “Community Bridge” Halloween Haunted House, organized by the North Peace Community Resources Society, which raises funds to support local social programs. In December, Painted Pony provided over 100 Christmas food hampers to local First Nations families.
In partnership with the Calgary Roughnecks, Painted Pony sponsors the Classroom Lacrosse program. The program involves professional athletes visiting local schools to promote goal setting, being healthy, fair play and fitness using lacrosse to bridge those fundamental lessons. The program promotes opportunities for children who would otherwise not be able to experience the sport or learn about possible activities and scholarships.
